Two days of insightful talks and engaging discussions

With this event we would like to celebrate 50 years of GAeF with our members and invited guests. During the past two years, many people also outside the aerosol research community have learned to appreciate the importance of aerosol research. Rather than resting on our laurels and only celebrating our successful history, we have developed a concept that also looks at what is going to be important in the future of aerosol science. For that reason, we will spend two days together, each day with quite a different format, to promote collaboration in the different fields of the aerosol community.

On day 1, we have invited key note speakers that will consecutively present on five different fields, thereby highlighting the full range of aerosol science and its interdisciplinary nature. These presentations will be held in a tandem format by two distinguished speakers in their field, which will be followed by extensive discussions. During the interaction with the attendees we will reflect on the history, presence and future of the corresponding field.

Day 2 will consist of a full-day interactive workshop with the vision of “Shaping the future of GAeF". It will be based on an innovative concept that will utilize new formats and techniques to create much interaction between the participants. The workshop will be facilitated by two external moderators and include - but likely not be limited to - topics such as Outreach and Data Driven Science.
